A two-year evolution of the program
Recognizing the increasing importance of technological advancements and their impact on the finance industry, the CFA curriculum has been revised to integrate essential knowledge and skills related to digital transformation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Practical Skills Modules
To enhance the exam's relevance, CFA® Institute has decided to incorporate Practical Skills Modules. These modules will cover topics such as:
· Financial Modeling and Python Programming Fundamentals at Level I
· Python Programming Fundamentals, Analyst Skills, and Python Data Science & AI at Level II
Starting from the February 2024 exam, Level I candidates will need to complete the standard exam and one Practical Skills Module (PSM) to receive their exam result. For Level II candidates, this requirement will be applicable from the May 2024 exam, with registration opening in August. As for Level III candidates, the inclusion of PSMs in the exams will begin in 2025.
Practical Relevance
With an enhanced emphasis on practical relevance, the program now offers optional reference readings for candidates seeking to review foundational concepts. This adjustment ensures that overall study time is more closely aligned with the program's commitment to delivering a comprehensive learning experience within the promised timeframe of 300 hours.
Real-World Skills
At every level of the program, you will find self-contained modules dedicated to practical skills, enabling you to apply what you learn directly to real-world scenarios encountered in your professional role. These modules focus on the on-the-job application of knowledge gained throughout the program, ensuring that you develop practical skills alongside theoretical understanding.
